The museum is open daily from 9am to 6pm, with extended hours on Fridays until 9pm. Admission costs €19 for adults, €9 for children aged 18 and under, and is free for Museumkaart holders. Tickets can be purchased online in advance to avoid queues.

The museum's collection includes more than 200 paintings, 500 drawings, and 700 letters by Vincent van Gogh, as well as works by other artists who were influential to him. Some of the highlights of the collection include "Sunflowers," "The Potato Eaters," and "Almond Blossom."

In the surrounding area, there are several other attractions worth checking out. The Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum are both located in the same square as the Van Gogh Museum, and offer a diverse collection of art and artifacts from throughout history. The Vondelpark is also nearby, and is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops in the area to explore.
